Wooden Gate Designs
Surrey Wrought Iron can source, install and automate a wide range of high quality wooden gates at competitive prices.
All of our wooden gates are constructed using timber from managed forests where particular attention is paid to replanting and regeneration.
The designs on the right should give you some ideas to discuss, however they are not exaustive and we can usually source and design of gate you require.
Being a natural product, our timber will contain knots and will be subject to movement and warping within accepted tolerances. We would advise our clients to select the highest quality materials possible to ensure lasting strength and beauty.
Regular maintenance is vital for preservation and prevention.
Why not include wood treatments with your Annual Service Contract?

- Teak
- Iroko
- Oak
- Idigbo

Both hardwoods and some softwoods are suitable for gates. Iroko & oak are our preferred materials, however we can source gates made from any of the above.
Various finishes are available but our recommendation would be an oiled finish for durability and aesthetic appearance.
